Abstract

Introduction: Systemic scleroderma (ES) is a chronic, autoimmune disease characterized by stiffening of the connective tissue and structural damage in different systems of the body, which lead to disabilities and functional limitations. There are physical therapy interventions, commonly used as a form of treatment and rehabilitation of these patients. Objective: Gather and analyze the physiotherapeutic interventions in the treatment of ES patients. Methodology: This is a systematic review, whose databases were searched: PubMed, Scielo, BVS, using publications between the years in 2018 a 2023. This one study It was conducted by guidelines Cochrane Handbook for Systematic Reviews of interventions and reported accordingly with the declaration Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) file with PROSPERO. Results: The work resulted in a total of 574 studies, after analyzed remained 09 included. Among the nine (n=9), seven presented interventions significant in improving the quality of life, strength, microvascular reactivity, odor and discomfort reduction, gain from ADM being them, heating with cycle ergometer or crank, aerobic exercises, HIT, resistance training, breathing and isometric exercises and articulate mobilization type Maitland, it's two articles do not present significant interventions that are the feasibility and applied test of the online self-help program SPIN-HAND. Conclusion: The physiotherapeutic interventions found for the treatment of ES, contributed with scientific evidence to give greater support to the performance of the professional physiotherapist with greater effectiveness for their practice. Due to muscle loss and pain presented by these, future studies on electrothermophototherapeutic resources will be of great value.
