Abstract
Introduction: Nurses play an essential role in the health care process for adolescents and are expected to have skills, abilities and attitudes to exercise their responsibilities in the context of education, prevention and promotion of health care. Objective: To analyze the scientific evidence on nursing care for adolescents in Primary Health Care. Methodology: This is an integrative review, conducted according to the method developed by Souza, Silva and Carvalho (2010). The search was carried out in the LILACS, SciELO, BDENF, PubMed and Scopus databases, in addition to gray literature via Google Scholar, covering the period from 2014 to 2024. Results: The studies analyzed highlighted the prevalence of nursing and reception consultations in adolescent care and specific guidance, immunization and health education actions. However, the lack of interest of adolescents in seeking health services and the unpreparedness of professionals were identified as barriers to the effectiveness of care. Conclusion: The review highlights the importance of nursing's role in primary health care to ensure comprehensive care for adolescents. To achieve this, it is necessary to continuously train nurses and adopt strategies that are more attractive and accessible to adolescents in order to seek out health units.
