The objective of this research was to explore the profound relationship between personality rights and the principle of human dignity, highlighting its importance in the legal and ethical context. Personality rights are considered as legal prerogatives that encapsulate intrinsic and inalienable aspects of the human condition, being analyzed in terms of their definition, scope and ethical and legal relevance. A central perspective presented is that personality rights are not limited to mere legal norms, but represent concrete manifestations of human dignity. The principle of human dignity is discussed as a moral and legal foundation that supports these rights, highlighting their significance not only in the legal sphere, but also in the social and ethical spheres. The complexity in defining human dignity within the legal context is recognized, however, there is a broad consensus in identifying situations that violate it. The research is based on a bibliographic method, based on a comprehensive review of academic literature and essential works by jurists and philosophers that explore these concepts. In short, this article highlights the need to recognize the close relationship between personality rights and human dignity. This understanding not only enriches the legal field, but also guides ethical and social practices, promoting respect for the human condition and the protection of fundamental rights.
