The technological revolution has facilitated the exposure of information and personal data, resulting in an increase in damages resulting from the improper use of these provisions. Data and information from transgender people belong to a vulnerable social group, not only in the field of face-to-face interpersonal relationships, but also in cyber environments that can reach physical reality. This text aims to reflect on the protection of data belonging to transgender people in contemporary society. The methodological paradigm will consist of qualitative research, with the nature of applied social research, deductive approach method, exploratory objective, monographic study procedure, using bibliographical research techniques, in primary and secondary sources, and exploratory field research, with data collection in a virtual database. Conscious, free, informed and autonomous consent acts as the main form of processing personal data. It is necessary to establish security instruments that aim to support privacy, including to guarantee the anonymity and/or forgetting of sensitive data. The question of difference, of how to deal with an increasingly wide range of demands for recognition and effective inclusion of new subjects, permeates the theme of data on transgender people. Although there are no specific rules related to the privacy and data protection of transsexuals, it cannot be said that these people are completely helpless, requiring an extensive and principialist interpretation of regulatory frameworks relating to their rights.
