This research aims to analyze the civil liability for collective environmental damage caused by trawling fishing in light of the Public Civil Action 50002569420114047121 at different levels of jurisdiction and the most relevant aspects of civil liability for collective environmental damage caused by illegal trawling. To achieve the its results, the research uses a bibliographic and jurisprudential survey, seeking to draw a theoretical and practical correlations on the mentioned topic. Therefore, the contribution delves into topics such as the applicability of the Polluter-pays principle, the parameters of the quantum of compensation in collective damage and recent advances in jurisprudential understanding regarding the imprescriptibility of environmental damage.
