Abstract

This study aims to analyze the nature and characteristics of the socialist rule-of-law state in Vietnam, emphasizing its role in ensuring social justice and regulating economic activities in the context of market competition and globalization. The article employs a qualitative research approach based on theoretical analysis and the interpretation of key Party and State documents concerning the socialist rule-of-law model. Comparative and analytical methods are used to examine both the advantages and limitations of Vietnam’s current legal framework in managing socioeconomic relations. The findings indicate that Vietnam’s socialist rule-of-law state has made significant progress in institutionalizing the principle of “the State of the people, by the people, and for the people.” However, limitations remain, particularly in the enforcement of laws and the existence of legal loopholes that some individuals and enterprises exploit for personal gain, leading to corruption and social inequities. To enhance the effectiveness and integrity of the socialist rule-of-law state, it is essential to strengthen legal institutions, improve the quality of law enforcement, and ensure transparency and accountability in governance. These measures will contribute to balancing interests among social classes and promoting sustainable and equitable development in Vietnam.
