The process of structuring and drafting the Federal Constitution of the Republic is strongly tied to the ideals of multiparty politics, democracy, and liberalism. After 25 years under a regime of exception, the population once again exercised direct suffrage, which marked the beginning of the New Republic and the consolidation of the developments of the 1988 Constitution. The purpose of this scientific study is to analyze the historicism of the Citizen Constitution as part of its formative progress, reflecting on contemporary contexts. This subject is of great relevance to the social and political scope of the Brazilian democratic state governed by the rule of law, since beyond the importance of addressing, interpreting, and promoting discussions related to the constitutional text, there is an imperative need not only to analyze and understand the processes and debates that laid the foundation for the Constitution, but also to raise the historical perspective tied to that important political and social moment for the Brazilian nation. Furthermore, this research is supported by bibliographic references, as well as livestreams found on the YouTube channel “Behind the Scenes of the Constitution” developed by the Advisor, along with the use of the inductive method and relevant legal sources applicable to the theme. In this regard, the exploration of the subject highlights the importance of maintaining the Constitution as a dynamic norm in response to present and future social needs, just as envisioned and drafted by the framers of the Magna Carta in the last century.
